On moral

Yesterday I woke up with rather disgusting news; Louis Vuitton brought a lawsuit against Nadia Plesne. The reason? Producing t-shirts with the image you can see below to benefit the Darfur genocide victims.

I find the LVMH attitude heartless and very hypocritical. They can use an image of Gorbachov in front of the Berlin Wall to advertise their products, but a young artist can't mock their bags to help the people of Darfur.

I read about this somewhere; it's really strange.

that's horrible, i cant believe LVMH would do something so horrible.
besides, what has LVMH got to sue for?! they're practically the richest company in the world.

this is so disappointing :[

I can see why LV wouldn't like to have their brand name linked to this
but still it is rather sad
did you also know Lindsay Lohan is being taken to court for stealing a fur coat?

No! I didn't know that. The girl is out of control, and no one stops her.

That is pathetic! Why concern themselves with this? It is extremely hypocritical considering the ads that you have mentioned. This shirt will be in and out before you know it.

yeah thats a studpid thing to do! Its not like the LV company is going to suffer from this... come on, people in darfur are the ones suffering, if they want good publicity they should donate something

The times are changing that's for sure... So sad that everything is slipping out of the grasp of one and slipping on to anothers fingers. So upsetting!

It is upsetting and I think LV could handle it better, but at the same time it does really sour their name to be used in this way. I can see why the company would feel targeted.

thanks for adding my link!

I honestly think that fashion industry (LV in particular) needs to lighten up and not take everything so seriously. This image is not going to substantially reduce their income, it's just raising awareness of the differences between more developed nations and places like Dafur.

not sure if it's hypocritical but it sure seems pointless on lvmh's part considering the tastelessness of the picture. i applaud plesne's cause but no one's gonna buy her t-shirts unless she gets a little more creative!

I am so sorry it took so long for me to add you onto my Links but I finally have! please do the same for me :)

Also, that is so horrible! I cannot believe that they did such a thing.

I find that shirt over the top. I'm happy they sued. Yeah, it may beannoyin because the company is so rich, but how responsible would they be to allow an image like that..to be out there and say its ok?

What's going on in Darfur is no joke, and its not funny/attractive to poke at it.
I understand the irony of it, but the company does that have to specifically use LV to get their point across.
