Lately, I've been obsessed with tuxedos. They are a good investment, and never go out of fashion. The first examples were adapted to women's body by Yves Saint Laurent in 1966 as a part of a collection, called "Pop Art". A white organdy blouse was worn in contrast with the male black suit.
Soon women like Catherine Deneuve or Bianca Jagger became fans.
Tuxedo appears periodically at fashion shows.
Two good examples: Kirsten Dunst and Sofia Coppola.

That is one of my favourite Helmut Newton photos, I don't think i've seen a woman look sexier and of course her proportions are to die for (legs!) Androgyny is hot.
i wish i can pull off a tux. great blog!
WOW - - - that photo of Sofia is the hottest one I've ever seen; beautifully styled. She looks a bit like Patti Smith and Charlotte Gainsbourg in this one.
Excellent post!
You missed Marlene Dietrich...:) And I've been in love with that look of Kirsten Dunst's ever since the picture first came out. As they'd say here, she just nailed it. Ditto Sofia C, it's just enough to be androgynous but not manly.
I don't think I'd look well in a complete tuxedo, but I think it's the sexiest piece on the right person. the YSL Le Smoking is divine.
That Sofia pic is great. She makes androgynous look really cool.
i adored this post
and i love kirsten in that suit
When you wear a smocking you must be terribly stylishness and glamorous .
Ohh, Bianca Jagger, Sophia Coppola and Kirsten Dunst. They all look stunning. Shit, I wish I could be that cool.
