Walker Evans

Another Sunday and without premeditation, I am going to talk again about the deep America. The one that suffered during the Great Depression , the one that Steinbeck wrote about in the "Grapes Of Wrath". It's the same one Walker Evans portrayed masterfully for the FSA. His pictures, simple and austere, captured in one snapshot all the hunger and suffering of the rural South who fought to survive during the 30's.

Otro domingo más y sin premeditación alguna, me dispongo a hablar otra vez de la América profunda. Esa que tanto sufrió durante la Gran Depresión y que tan bien supo plasmar Steinbeck en "Las Uvas de la Ira". La misma que Walker Evans retrató de forma magistral en su trabajo para la FSA . Sus fotografías, sencillas y austeras, capturaron en un sólo instante todo el hambre y el sufrimiento de los campesinos del Sur que luchaban por sobrevivir durante los años 30.
