Boots

This year my list of winter acquisitions will have to be very short. I am on a self imposed shopping ban because I have to save for an upcoming trip to London. The list includes a pair of boots. I hardly ever wear boots because I am rather small and I am very concerned about proportions. But it rains a lot in winter here (actually throughout the year) and a protective shoe is often required.

boots

At first, I had in mind a pair of classic Chelsea's, but when I saw the ones above from Free People, it was love at first sight. They are quite expensive for me, but I find them very versatile and timeless. Anyway, it makes no sense to continue dreaming about them since they don't ship to Spain. The search continues.

Hi darling-- it's been a while since I've been on your blog. Just wanted to say hello!

I'm trying to cut back on expenses, too, and like you, will be heading to London-- hopefully during fashion week.

Boots are a must this fall. I would like either a very tall or a very short pair.

I have such trouble with finding good boots, that I've essentially given up on it. I don't think I'm a boots girl, quite simply. I wish I could wear flats and Converse all through winter, but living in Sweden that is impossible!

Those boots aren't actually made by Free People (just sold on their website). They are made by a company called Bed Stu. You might be able to find them somewhere else that does ship internationally (or email the company to see if they sell anywhere in Spain?)

these are beautiful!
good luck on your search.
i was lucky enough to find a gorgeous vintage pair of tall, 80s slouch boots at a thrift store for about $1 usd in the middle of summer. i had them resoled by a cobbler for about $30 and they're absolutely perfect now.
just keep your eye out!

If you'd like to order clothes and shoes from US stores which generally don't ship internationally, you could use shipito.com. They can forward your items from the US to your address anywhere in the world. I have been using them and it is very useful.
