A week of music

This past week has been particularly musical. Since mi iPod mini had died a few months ago, I bought a new one. But I'm not complaining, because it's way better than the old one.

Then my uni friends gave me the book "1001 Albums you must hear before you die". For now, I have a love/hate relationship with it. The book has, in my opinion, huge mistakes like "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, or Justin Timberlake's "Justified".

On the other hand it's a good reference book. I was pleasantly surprised to see they included "Kimono my house" by Sparks or three Tim Buckley albums.

And finally a new Morrissey greatest hits album will be out on February 4Th including two new songs: the first single "That's how people grow up" and "All you need is me".

The Mancunian is also working on a studio album supposedly to be out next Autumn.

Song: Let me kiss you - Morrissey

Hmm, yes 1001 albums was rather overambitous, and perhaps why Britney and Justin were included.

Don't get me wrong, recently I've been listening to other albums from these two and getting lots of enjoyment out of them in only a semi ironic way.

Ditto LLG, "Ah Morrissey".

Yeah that book just seemed to throw in anything really! I've been really getting into the smiths lately, i just love Morrisey's voice, maybe I shall buy?

^Yeah Kat you should. If you like The Smiths, you'll probably like Morrissey solo too. Start with "Vauxhall and I" or "You're the quarry", those are my favourites.

Aretha: el libro tiene sus pros y sus contras. Pero yo diría que si merece la pena, al menos como libro de referencia.

stupidcupcake: Bruce S. is not my cup of tea. But that vinyl is one of the treasures I own. My uncle gave it to me, is an original from 1984.

I'm excited for the Morrisey album - and great collection. We have similar tastes :)

The Britney album? Hmm, don't know what to say about that...
