Xmas

kate_xmas lights

This year Christmas has caught me by surprise, I wasn't expecting it yet. Summer seems like yesterday. Besides, I have tons of work to do so I won't have much time to celebrate. Anyway, I wanted to wish you all happy holidays .

these picture is horrible, i can't even look at it, kate is extremely thin. it's not natural! no matter how much you love models or art. stop encouraging these ugly desease, you have the power to face it, your'e *not* a women-hater magazine. don't renounce your responsibility. you have a responsibility.

little girl read your blog and think real women should be scrawny, pale and that makes theme a beauty icon. and why shouldn't they?

i'm tired

Michal: You are tired and you tire me. Yours is the same old speech, apart from inappropriate and out of topic because I wasn't even talking about models. My only purpose was to wish you happy holidays and I chose the picture because Kate is surrounded by Xmas lights.

i know your topic for this post wasn't about the models, even though i decided to tell you what was on my mind because i couldn't ignore the skinny model. you have to open your mind a bit. although blogs are so called "private" actually they aren't. this picture is provocative in the way the model looks, and even if your purpose was good- to wish us all a merry Xmas- you chose to put a picture thet no one can't ignore. the lights are beautifull indeed, but the model isn't. so don't tell me it's inappropriate.

Michal: I do tell you whatever I want, it's my right. Take it or leave it, I'm not removing the picture.

Besides, never in my whole life anybody has called me narrow minded, so I don't know why I should take seriously the opinion of an anonymous person.

Thin women exist. Some of them are beautiful. Hiding their existence is just another way of commodifying women's bodies. This issue is a lot more complex than you seem to realise, Michal, and as a feminist I believe we should celebrate Kate Moss for who and what she is.

Allure, lovely post as usual. Do try and relax over the Christmas! x

Allure - how lovely your blog is. I think this is our second holiday together (or better put: my second holiday visiting Allure Allure).

I loved your favorite books of 09, there were so many of the books that I read and reread on it. Reading Identity by Kundera now and The Sea by Banville. I love slim novels. The skinnier the better...
