Silk velvet

silkvelvet

It was Christopher Kane a few seasons ago who brought it back. Then Olivier Theyskens used it for his gorgeous winter collection. And now I seem to see silk velvet garments everywhere; from dresses to capes . Precautions: Non romantics/bohemians, avoid this trend for your own safety.

haha i love your precaution for the non-romantics/bohemians!! my favourite though has to be royal purple velvet - there's a richness and (visual) weight to it that not many fabrics can replicate.
