Helen Levitt

Helen Levitt was one of the first photographers who started taking "street photography". Her work is a sincere look at the streets of New York working-class neighborhoods. The mischievous smiles of children, their dances and innocent games set the audience in a familiar atmosphere that not many people associate with the big apple. Things aren't always what they seem and this is a good reminder of why we should forget conventions.
