Although being considered one of the masters of photography, André Kertész, only reached success at the end of his life. He started his career as a photojournalist during World War I and then moved to Paris to rub shoulders with the city's bohemian artists. In 1936, he left for New York where he started to photograph his famous "Distorsions". In short, Kertész was a lover of silhouettes and shadows that eventually turned into his trademark.
