Being Spanish, I must pay tribute to Balenciaga. The first Spanish (and probably the last one) contribution to fashion. My intention was to post something about Cristóbal Balenciaga, but I was watching the amazing fall/winter show on style.com and I decided to write about it.
Blazers and scarves are basics in my wardrobe. I wear them everyday. And this garments were the key of the first part of the collection. I wish I had the money to buy one of those gorgeous blazers.
^Pink + black and white stripes+olive green? Nicolas Ghesquiére is a genius.

I hate this collection because, simply, it's not Balenciaga - It's all Nicholas. I think designers for these old prestigious fashion houses should value the history and try to follow that specific style. I adored both SS06 and FW06 because they really put life into the spirit of the house.
I think Nicholas is a very talented man, and he does suit Balenciaga well - but this collection makes it painfully obvious that he should have his own label instead.
i have to say it looks like its from a few years ago, but i do like the top picture.
I really like the pink jacket on the last look, its gorgeous.
i love this, and i agree, the colors on the last one is just really well-done, unpredictable. he did a very nice job of mixing the colors, the collection is very inspirational!
