Spring/Summer wishlist

The sweet smell of strawberries that inundates my kitchen, reminded me that spring is around the corner. It's time to share, as I do every season, my wishlist that includes: a pair of black flat sandals, a navy blue blazer with gold buttons, an Erica Weiner necklace, a Levi's denim jacket, a Saint James breton t-shirt, a white silk blouse, a pair of jeans a la Birkin, a trench and a victorian dress.

El dulce olor de las fresas que inunda mi cocina, me hizo recordar que la primavera está a punto de llegar. Es entonces hora de compartir, como hago cada temporada, mi lista de deseos que incluye: unas sandalias negras, una chaqueta príncipe de gales, un colgante de Erica Weiner, una cazadora vaquera Levi's, una camiseta de rayas rojas de Saint James, una camisa de seda blanca, unos vaqueros a la Birkin, una gabardina y un vestido victoriano.

Walk out the winter (?)

I hate summer. It's always the same, the same story. Time seems to stop, or even worse, it seems to run against me. Every single year, without exception, I wish it would go away, I want the autumn to arrive and my stability with it. And each year, I miss it when it's over.

Odio el verano. Es siempre lo mismo, la misma historia. Parece que el tiempo se detuviese, o peor, que corriese en mi contra. Cada año sin excepción deseo que se vaya, que llegue el otoño y la rutina y con ellos la estabilidad. Y cada año, después de que se haya acabado lo echo de menos.

Maybe that's why my winter wishlist has been ready for weeks now. I did a very short one because I have to safe money for a couple of upcoming trips. From left to right and top to bottom:

Será por eso que hace ya semanas que mi lista de adquisiciones invernales está preparada. Esta vez tiene que ser muy corta porque tengo que procurar ahorrar para un par de viajes que tengo en mente. De izquierda a derecha y de arriba a abajo:

-T Alexander Wang t-shirt. It doesn't necessarily have to be this one, but I like the design.

-Camiseta negra de t-Alexander Wang. No tiene porque ser necesariamente de este diseñador, pero bueno este corte en concreto me gusta.

-Play Comme des Garçons cardigan. I've been coveting this cardigan for so long, I hope I can finally get it this season.

-Chaqueta de Play Comme des Garçons. Llevo mucho tiempo queriendo comprar éste cardigan y nunca puedo, espero que esta temporada si lo consiga.

-Erica Weiner Penis Bone necklace. For no specific reason, I simply like it.

-Colgante de Erica Weiner. Ninguna razón específica, simplemente me gusta.

-Repetto ballet flats. If I finally get them it will be in patent leather, I think they will last longer.

-Bailarinas de Repetto. Si finalmente las compró será en charol, creo que resistirán mejor que las de cuero.

-A big shawl in an earth tone. The one in the picture is Margiela, but unfortunately is out of my budget.

-Una bufanda grande en tonos tierra. La de la foto es de Margiela, pero mi presupuesto no da para tanto.

Spring/Summer wishlist

At the beginning of each season I always create a list of things I would like to purchase over the coming months with two objectives: save money buying garments I really need and somehow try to complete my wardrobe.

Al principio de cada temporada siempre elaboro una lista de las cosas que me gustaría comprar a lo largo de los meses venideros con dos objetivos: economizar comprando prendas que realmente necesito y a las que voy a dar uso durante mucho tiempo, y de alguna manera tratar de completar mi armario.

Basically, I realized I need more tops -I might be buying a playsuit too- and that's what I based my list on: American Apparel dress, KAiN black t-shirt, red striped t-shirt, Persol (or the new wayfarer style by Ray-Ban, I don't know yet) sunglasses, denim jacket, play Comme des Garçons black cardigan and Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.

Básicamente me he dado cuenta que necesito más tops que otra cosa -aunque quizás compre un mono- y en eso he cimentado mi lista:vestido de American Apparel, camiseta negra de KAiN, camiseta de rayas rojas, gafas de sol Persol (o el nuevo modelo wayfarer de Ray-Ban, no me he decidido aún), cazadora vaquera, cardigan negro de play Comme des Garçons y bolso de Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Things I've already bought so far: lace-up shoes and Preen sandals both from Topshop, Superfine skinnies and lingerie.

Cosas que ya he comprado: brogues y sandalias de Preen ambos de Topshop, pitillos Superfine y lencería.

Men watch

I can't help but love men watches on women. In general, I just love men pieces mixed with a feminine style. It's the perfect touch of scruffiness, as I don't want my outfits to look too done.
