Bonnie and Clyde is one of my favourite films and the costume design has a lot to do with that. The mix of the original twenties style and the sixties vibe is perfect.

The other day TCM was screening Quadrophenia. I was watching that scene in which Jimmy walks into the kitchen wearing a pair of wet Levi's and defends himself saying he did it so they shrink to fit. To my surprise, my own father said he used to do the same when he was young. At that point, I remembered the pictured above and I realised he was also a victim of the British Invasion. And then I felt jealous...

El otro día estaba la tele puesta de fondo y echaban Quadrophenia en TCM. Era esa escena en  la que Jimmy entra en la cocina llevando unos Levi's mojados y se defiende, ante las críticas de sus progenitores, diciendo que se hacía para que sentaran mejor. Cual fue mi sorpresa, cuando mi propio padre dijo que él hacía lo mismo por entonces. Ahí recordé esa foto de allá arriba y de me di cuenta que él también había sido víctima de la Invasión Británica.Y entonces sentí envidia...

Last night, instead of going out with my friends I decided I would lie on my couch under a blanket, eating ice cream to make the toothache a little more bearable and seeing Reprise (2006), a Norgewian film which promised to be good. The story grabs you and this is largely due to the excellent work of the actors, plus the cinematographic techniques of director Joachim Trier.

Anoche, en vez de salir por ahí decidí quedarme en mi sofá bajo una manta, comiendo helado para hacer el dolor de muelas algo más soportable y viendo Reprise (2006), una película de origen noruego que prometía ser buena. La historia te atrapa y eso se debe en gran parte al excelente trabajo de los actores, a lo que se debe añadir las técnicas del director Joachim Trier.

Plot from imdb: "Two competitive friends, fueled by literary aspirations and youthful exuberance, endure the pangs of love, depression and burgeoning careers." Highly recommended.
