Bodkin

Slowly the eco-clothing movement is gaining support in the fashion industry. However, many designers tackle the topic in a basic way and most of the times they don't even develop a whole collection.

The need to create chic and suistainable clothes led Samantha Pleet and Eviana Hartman to launch Bodkin.

The whole line has, for me, a delicious 90's vibe. Blacks and whites fill a feminine collection, while Pleet's savoir-faire in terms of tailoring stands out.

  4. I like the second one. And I think it's good that designers are trying to make eco-friendly clothing fashionable (not frumpy or ugly)!

  5. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh, a Travis soundtrack.

I can see this Bodkin line going somewhere. It's really great-looking, an aspect many eco-friendly lines cannot boast.

  8. i think eco-friendly fashion is definitely the next big "thing" to come out of the industry. whether or not designers like it, the increasing awareness of environmental issues going to affect them sooner or later...

another company that's also doing good design (but with footwear) is terra plana.
